How to Find the Right Therapist for You?
Sarah D / Aug 28, 2021
If you’re considering therapy of any kind, whether it’s to work on your relationships, recover from trauma, adjust to a new life phase, or just improve your mental health, finding the right therapist is one of the first things to do.
It's okay to take your time finding someone with whom you can develop a unique, rewarding, potentially long-term, professional relationship with. If you don't feel that comfort level, it's always okay to switch till you find what you need, but we do believe it’s important to do your research and ask questions in your search for the therapist that’s right for you.
"People look at credentials and they look at a lot of other things that are more outward focused, but I really believe that being a good therapist has more to do with the person’s heart."
Finding the counselor who is right for you opens-up an opportunity to make significant, long-lasting life improvements. This should not be taken lightly, so please take your time and be patient in finding someone with whom you can develop a unique, rewarding, potentially long-term, professional relationship.
