Amy earned her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron. She is independently licensed in the State of Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision accreditation. Amy has been practicing for more than 10 years and has integrated EMDR into her practice for more than 5 years. Prior to counseling, Amy worked for advocacy-focused non-profit agencies to remove barriers to healthcare and employment opportunities. She believes in the inherent dignity and value of every person.

Amy has counseled adults and elders with a wide range of mental health diagnoses, including ADHD, Anxiety and Depression, Bipolar I and II, Borderline Personality Disorder, Gender Dysphoria, PTSD, Schizophrenia, and Substance Use Disorders of varied types and severity. She has sought independent training in complex trauma, dissociation, Flash reprocessing, grief, and Motivational Interviewing, and seeks out opportunities to strengthen cross-cultural appreciation and connection.

Amy enjoys alphabetical order, karaoke, kayaking, reading, and trying to learn Italian.
